Gratitude

We are entering the season of observing Gratitude and Giving, which if we are honest, being grateful for what we have and having a heart to give, should be our daily prayer throughout the year, not just a season. We go through personal seasons of bounty and seasons of lack, but when we give from whatever we have been given, we will be blessed. When we show up for others, God will put people in our path to meet our needs when we ask.

2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV / And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

(Mark 12:43–44; cf. Luke 21:1–4). “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on”

A Gratitude Psalm

Psalm 100:1-5 ESV / A Psalm for giving thanks. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

God owns it All.

We are really just stewards of what God has given us all to look after here on earth. And when we give, we are giving from what God has bestowed upon us to manage on His behalf.

1 Chronicles 29:12 ESV / Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
Ephesians 1:11 ESV / In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,
Deuteronomy 10:14 ESV / Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.

Provision

Matthew 7:7-11 ESV / 39 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Kentucky Family Association has been a ministry God has used to affect pro-life, Christian Conservative causes. And if you are feeling led to bless the causes that KFA actively works to promote, we welcome your blessing of time, talent, or treasure on this #givingtuesday or any other time you feel call to be a blessing.
